Implementing an effective monitoring and alert system is crucial to any business continuity strategy. Air conditioning failures, water leaks, fires, power outages, and physical security breaches are just a few of the many potential problems that can seriously threaten the integrity of network equipment and data.

In situations where rooms are left unattended for extended periods, especially on weekends and at night, these problems can lead to significant network downtime and costly disruptions.

The interSeptor Pro-XP is an advanced environmental management system capable of monitoring sensitive environments and sending early warning alerts when a threat is detected. The system allows for monitoring and recording environmental conditions, setting alarm thresholds, and sending automated early warning alerts to key IT administrators via email, web browser, control panel, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and SMS (optional). An audible alarm/alarm device option is also available to provide visual and audible alerts on-site when needed.

Flexibility and Scalability for Maximizing ROI

The interSeptor Pro-XP system can monitor up to 32 temperature and humidity sensors using Cat5 serial connections between each sensor (4 groups, each group containing 8 sensors). Two alarm sensors (for water, smoke, power, security, etc.) can be connected to each temperature and humidity sensor, allowing for the deployment and monitoring of up to 64 sensors in total. This design provides complete flexibility and scalability to ensure that current and future monitoring needs are met.

Interceptor Pro XP: Flexible Data Center Monitoring

The Pro-XP is easy to install and use. It can be monitored via a web browser interface or a network management system using the SNMP protocol.

The device also enables automatic switching/control of connected local devices during emergencies, as well as comprehensive data logging for effective data center analysis and fault diagnosis.

The interSeptor Pro-XP utilizes Cat5 cabling for reliability, connecting environmental RJ45 ports to temperature and humidity sensors. This simplifies the location of all sensors when needed and their subsequent relocation as required. The Pro-XP also supports Wi-Fi connectivity for network switching/routers when necessary.

Settings

Minimum and maximum temperature and humidity settings, survey and recording options, alert options, and more can be quickly and easily configured via a web browser. If you wish to configure multiple Pro-XP units, you can upload a backup of the first unit to the additional units to expedite the setup process.

Recorder

The interSeptor Pro-XP device includes comprehensive built-in data logging features to ensure alarm tracking, early problem analysis, and trend analysis as needed. Log files can be delivered to key personnel daily in CSV format or downloaded as required.

Monitoring

The interSeptor Pro-XP device can be remotely monitored using a web browser or via a network management system or smart city/building software platform using the SNMP protocol.

Alerts

Email and SNMP alerts can be enabled to provide early warning of environmental issues. Additionally, SMS alerts can be sent using an optional GSM modem (SIM card not included). The interSeptor Pro-XP supports any standard SMTP mail server for forwarding email alerts in case of an alarm. Gmail is supported (if you use another encrypted email service such as Office 365, please contact us to confirm compatibility before purchasing).

Composition

The interSeptor Pro-XP is designed for easy installation and use. It comes equipped with two temperature and humidity sensors, along with two 2-meter Cat5e cables, ensuring immediate monitoring of each rack and room. The Cat5 cables can be connected between each sensor and the RJ45 ports on the Pro-XP, or between it and another temperature and humidity sensor in the same series. The Pro-XP can be easily mounted inside a data rack using a DIN rail.
